Richard A. Lomberto 76, of Hudson and a former resident of Franklin, passed away peacefully, Friday May 23, 2025 at the UMASS Memorial Medical Center in Worcester, after fighting a kidney & heart disease for almost 16 years. His beloved partner of Thomas R. Caira, for over 50 years was at his side.
Born September 7, 1948, in Plainville, a son of the late Albert R. and Mary R. (Padula) Lomberto, in addition to his partner, he is survived by his children, Michelle Marcotte and her husband Joseph, Tracie Vietze and her husband Billy, Melissa Lomberto and Michael Lomberto, brothers, Wayne Lomberto and Dennis Lomberto.
He was the brother of the late Gary, Robert and Ronald Lomberto.
Growing up Richard was always in the kitchen as he loved to cook. He loved being side by side in the kitchen with his parents so much, they opened a restaurant in Woonsocket, RI named Mama Maria’s. If he wasn’t making a sauce or ravioli in the kitchen he was making jokes about Tom. Richard was always with his family, loved being with his brothers Wayne & Bobby. Family was very big with Richard, he would always have you laughing and plenty of stories to tell.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his calling hours Friday May 30th, in the Charles F. Oteri and Son Franklin Funeral Home 33 Cottage St. from 9-10:30AM.
His funeral service will follow at 11AM.
Burial will be at St. Mary's Cemetery, Franklin.
