Nancy J Derderian was born in Boston May 18, 1937. Spending her middle and high school years in Belmont, she graduated Belmont High School Class of ‘55. She received an associates degree from Lasell Junior College.
On New Years Eve, 1963, she met her future husband, Kelam on a blind date. They were married six months later, June 28, 1964.
Nancy and Kelam bore their first and only child, Kenneth, in 1972. In addition to being a full time mother and housewife, she worked part time as a medical secretary.
Nancy was also a member of the Belmont Garden Club, and was a talented and accomplished floral arranger.
At the Daniel Butler Elementary School, Belmont, she was the Administrative Assistant from 1991, to her retirement in 2013.
Most impressive, however, was her dedication and effort to help and heal her husband through his decades long odyssey of health issues, which was assuredly far more challenging than words can express.
She was, it should be noted, a superb chef.
A woman of dedication, sacrifice, charity, and love, she was truly remarkable.
Nancy J Derderian peacefully left this world early morning May 16 2025, two days before her 88th birthday.
She is survived by her son, Kenneth, of Beverly, MA.
There will a Celebration of Life of some sort in several months, likely October, for Nancy and Kelam together, as it should be.
