Peter Joseph Fanning, of Berkley, MA, passed away on Thursday, May 20, 2025, at the age of 78. Pete was born in Attleboro MA to the late Francis and Cecile Fanning.
After 40 years, he retired from the Shipping and Receiving Department of Texas Instruments. Pete enjoyed spending time with his family, and loved that he was called PaPa. He cared deeply for his faithful and loving dogs: Domino, Lucky and Chance. In his spare time, he was an avid reader, and loved to visit several local libraries. He was passionate about riding and working on his motorcycle, tinkering in his woodshop, and working in the yard. Even though he was a quiet man, he always showed his love for his family and friends in his own way. He is already missed by so many.
For 39 years, he was the beloved husband of the late Kay Fanning. Devoted Step-Father to Kerrie Blanchard of Berkley, MA, and the late Dronda Chastenay, of Guilford, ME. He is survived by his sister Karen Courtemanche of Taunton, MA, as well as two nieces, Stephanie Werbiskis and Renee Pagliuca, three great-nieces, two great-nephews, along with many cousins. In Addition, he leaves behind two grandsons, Chaz and J.P., a great-granddaughter Piper Prescott and her mom Jerrica of Bangor, ME.
There will be no formal services. It is the family’s wish that you cherish your fond memories of Pete.
