In Loving Memory of Diana Motta

Diana Motta, a beloved wife, devoted mother, cherished “Mema,” and treasured friend, passed away peacefully on May 15, 2025, at the age of 84. Diana lived a life rooted in love, family, and compassion. A longtime resident of Ossining, she was a warm and familiar presence in her community. Known by many as a trusted and loving babysitter, Diana had a gift for caring for others and creating a sense of home wherever she went. She also had a deep love for music and was known for playing Christmas songs no matter the time of year—bringing smiles and laughter to everyone around her.
She is survived by her children, Mary Ann Asta, Bobby Asta, and Michele Motta; her daughter-in-law Laura Asta and son-in-law Dave Goldie; her grandchildren Micheal and Tommy Tarchine, Christopher Motta, Chris & Brianna Asta, Jessica, Melissa & Davie Goldie; and great-grandson Christopher Ray Motta. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Raymond Motta; her sons Jimmy Asta, Raymond Motta Jr, John Motta; and her daughter Jennifer Motta Goldie. Diana’s greatest joy came from her family, and her legacy lives on in each of them.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, May 30, 2025, at 10:00 am at St. Augustine Church (381 N. Highland Ave, Ossining, NY 10562). Family and friends are invited to attend and honor the life of a woman who gave so much to those around her.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the SPCA of Westchester, an organization close to Diana’s heart. Contributions can be made directly through their website: SPCA Westchester Donation Page.
Diana will be remembered for her unconditional love, gentle spirit, and unwavering devotion to her family. Her presence will be missed beyond measure, but the love she shared will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
