Obituary

Anna L. (Lombardi) DiLemme, age 91, of Medford passed away on Saturday, May 17th at Aberjona Nursing Center of Winchester. Born and raised in Isernia, Italy, she was the daughter of the late Nicandro and Vittoria (Amodea) Lombardi. Anna immigrated to the U.S. in 1958, settling first in Boston’s North End before moving to Medford in the mid-1970s. Anna worked for many years as a seamstress, and was later employed at Regina Cleri in Boston.

Anna was a gentle and humble woman, always putting others first. Family was everything to her, and she adored her grandchildren. Anna was a talented seamstress and clothing designer, and could create exquisite fine lace, which she learned to do in her village growing up. She was also an excellent cook and an avid gardener, growing many vegetables and canning her own tomatoes.

Anna was the beloved wife of the late Michael DiLemme, and the devoted mother of Robert DiLemme and his wife Grace of Billerica and Patricia DiVito and her husband Raffaele of Medford. She was the loving grandmother of Stephanie and Ralph DiVito Jr., Michelle and her partner Felix Rios, and Gabrielle Cardinale and her husband Louis. Anna was the cherished great grandmother of Sofia and Domenic, and dear sister of Guglielmina Lombardi and Fernando Lombardi, both of Italy. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
