Obituary

Florence Lillian (Ribotto) McCassie, 86, of Millis formerly of Medway died May 17, 2025 at the Beaumont Skilled Nursing Center in Westborough. She was the loving wife for over 60 years of the late Alfred D. McCassie, Sr. who died in 2022.

Born in Natick June 28,1938, the daughter of the late Bruno Ribotto and Lillian Rowe, Flo was raised in Natick and had lived in Medway for over 40 years before moving to Millis and joining the Rockville Meadows Community 12 years ago.

Florence had held a variety of positions throughout her life and with each new opportunity, she approached her role with a strong work ethic and dedication to even the smallest details. Prior to retirement, she proudly worked at Fallon/Reliant Medical Center for over 20 years in the Milford location supporting those who cared for others.

When she was younger, she and her husband enjoyed exploring new places together by taking motorcycle trips across the country with her siblings. Later in life, she looked forward to the family’s annual spring trip to Aruba and the many cruises she and her husband took to tropical locations. Being in the sun on the back deck of her home or being on the beach were her favorite spots. Above all Florence enjoyed being with her family.

She is survived by her beloved daughter Cheryl Corman and her husband George of Millis.

She was the loving mother of the late Alfred McCassie, Jr. of Shrewsbury and Julia Gross of Franklin.

She is also survived by her dearest siblings Shirley Ribotto and David Ribotto both of Florida. She was greatly cherished as the eldest sister of the late Bruno Ribotto, Jr., Dickie Ribotto, Butchie Ribotto and Barbara LaRosa.

Flo also leaves behind her sister-in-law, Pat Ribotto of Rhode Island and her granddaughters, Cheyenne McCassie of Northborough and Sheena Sawyer of Sterling as well as many nieces and nephews.

Her funeral service will be held on Friday, May 23 in the Ginley Crowley Funeral Home, 3 Barber Street, Medway at 11 am.
