Obituary

Sanford - Richard Warren Marks Jr- aka "Fester", passed away unexpectedly from injuries sustained after being hit by a vehicle while riding his bike in Sanford.
He was born to Richard Marks Sr and Sheila Marks of Somerville Ma, they have both passed.
Richard leaves behind many friends who meant the world to him, a sister April Mckay and her fiance James Willey of Sanford ME, brother Ian Marks of Sanford Me, sister Heather Marks and her significant other Jeremy of Springvale Me, and 3 nephews, Roger Eckmann, Ethan Eckmann and Logan Bennett.
Richard was a talented artist who loved to draw in his spare time. He loved to fish and be with his friends. He would do anything for anyone. He had no problem giving the last of his money or belongings to some one he thought needed it more than he did. Even when he found himself homeless he would always give what little he had to his friends. Richard was everyone's protector often putting himself in harms way or last.
Richard's last act of kindness showed how big his heart was and how he always thought of others, he donated his organs. In his final moments on earth he was still giving the last of what he had to give, his heart, both kidneys and his liver. He helped change the lives of 4 people even though his was ending he still helped some one else in need. To his friends and family that makes him a hero. One last act of kindness to make people proud and to right all the wrongs. Richard never knew the worth of his life but many other do and are so proud of the man he was.
Richard aka Fester, a nick name given to him in prison because he shaved his head and eye brows off and he looked like Fester from the Adam's Family will never be forgotten.
Richard was a beloved friend to my on his community and was very close with "IT TAKES A VILLAGE 207" an organization that helps the local homeless community through its weekly outreach service's. We ask that in lieu of flowers that you donate to IT TAKES A VILLAGE 207 so they can keep helping those that need it. You can find their link on facebook.
