Joseph John Grijalva Jr. (Joe), 49, of Ventura, California, passed away on May 13, 2025 in Ventura. Joe was born in El Centro, California to Cheryl and Joe Grijalva Sr. on February 2, 1976. He attended Buena High and Santa Maria High School and graduated in 1995. Joe worked as an Oil Field Expeditor for over 23 years in Port Hueneme Harbor, earning the respect and love of many in his field.
Joe loved his family more than anything in the world. His wife, Heather, his son, Jojo, his daughter-in-law, Liz, and his new grandson, J.J., were the lights of his life. Joe was incredibly proud to have recently become a grandfather and he doted on his new grandson. Joe loved riding his motorcycles, spending time at the ranch with Heather, golfing, and serving communion at his church. He also loved fishing, concerts, music of all genres, movies, and the beach. He was a loyal LA Rams fan.
Joe was loving, charming, handsome, funny, and thoughtful. His presence filled every room he entered, and his absence leaves an unfillable void in the lives of those who loved him.
He is survived by his wife, Heather Grijalva, his son, Joseph Grijalva III, his daughter-in-law, Lizmartha Garcia, his cherished grandson, Joseph Grijalva IV, his mother, Cheryl Gunther, and his siblings Nicholas Grijalva, Benjamin Gunther, Amanda Driver, Martha Grijalva, Rick Grijalva, Sharon Grijalva, Lisa Stuhr, and Tina Salveta, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father, Joe Grijalva Sr., and brothers Brandon and Brian Grijalva.
