In Loving Memory of Elmira Budo (Piperoni)
November 1970 – May 12, 2025
Our beloved Elmira passed away peacefully on May 12th, 2025.
Elmira Budo (Piperoni) was born in November 1970 in Kuçovë, Albania, where she completed high school, and in 1997, made the journey to the United States with her young family. Elmira is survived by her husband Theodore, daughter Irgisola, son Klejdi, mother Drita and father Vasillaq. She was the oldest of her sibling Gentian and Fotjona.
She has worked as the administrative operations lead at the finance department at Northeastern since the year of 2001, and during all of those years, was loved and deeply respected by her all of her co-workers and professors.
Elmira was affectionately known as a shining light in the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her. Elmira’s life was marked by boundless love, compassion, and selflessness—she was always there for those in need, never expecting anything in return.
Elmira was the heart and soul of her family. She was the guiding light for Theodore, Irgisola, and Klejdi, filling their lives with unwavering love and joy.
She had a deep passion for cooking, and her recipes—each one crafted with care and tradition—are treasured by those lucky enough to taste them. Elmira believed that food had the power to connect people, and she used it to bring loved ones together, creating unforgettable memories around her table.
Nature brought Elmira peace, and she held a special fondness for the ocean. Whether walking in the fresh air or simply basking in the sun’s warmth, she found joy in the natural world. Her vibrant personality made her the life of every gathering, from intimate family dinners to lively celebrations. She loved singing, dancing, and watching sports, and her extroverted spirit had a way of brightening every room she entered.
Elmira's legacy is one of warmth, generosity, and joy. Her love, radiant smile, and warm hugs will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. She leaves behind a beautiful example of how to live with grace, humor, and love. Elmira not only loved life-she embodied it!
Though she may no longer be with us, her memory will forever live on in our hearts. Until we meet again, Dear Mira!
