Emmet Allen Davis, 42, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Tuesday, May 13, 2025, at his residence, following a courageous battle with cancer.
Funeral services will be held 4 PM, Thursday, May 15, 2025, at Wiley Farms, 179 Gettysburg Road, Fitzgerald, Georgia, with the Rev. Dr. Tony Hayes officiating. Eulogies will be given by Lamar Goodman, Brady Davis, Alan Prescott, and Leslie Davis Giddens. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Fitzgerald. Funeral attendees are encouraged to bring a chair and are welcome to drive buggies, side-by-sides, or golf carts.
Allen was born July 31, 1982, in Tifton, Georgia, to Kenny & Debra Allen Davis of Fitzgerald. He was a 2000 graduate of Fitzgerald High School. Allen was a lifelong farmer and heavy equipment operator. He enjoyed listening to music, hosting bon fires, riding dirt roads in his buggy, hanging out with friends, making others laugh, being outdoors, and porch sitting. He will be greatly missed by his family and many friends.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his son, Suthern Jaxx Wise Davis; sister, Kendra & Kevin Day of Cordele; brother, Kenny Ray & Crystal Davis of Fitzgerald; his companion, Brandi Goodman Hill of Fitzgerald; nieces and nephews: Kenlea Davis-Day, Jillian Davis & Riley Evans, Raylea Phillips, Brady Davis, Clay Phillips, and Blake Davis; aunts: Lea & Brandon Phillips, Martena & Tommy Cauthen, and Janie & Sam Garland; along with numerous cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Ray & Lane Davis and Martin & Eleanor Allen; and a niece, Mallie Caroline Phillips.
