Grace Harrington, 93
Beloved Sister, Aunt, and Devoted Community Member
Grace Harrington passed away peacefully on May 9, 2025, at the age of 93. Born and raised on Alpine Street in Cambridge, Massachusetts, Grace later settled in Belmont, where she made her home for over fifty years.
Grace devoted much of her professional life to Boston College, serving with pride and loyalty as Secretary to the President. She was admired for her meticulous attention to detail, her grace under pressure, and the quiet strength she brought to every task.
Beyond her career, Grace embraced life with a vibrant spirit. She loved golf and skiing and was talented in both. A woman of deep faith, she found strength and guidance in her Catholic beliefs, regularly attending Mass at St. Peter’s Church in Cambridge. In her later years, she gave back to her community by volunteering at the Belmont Senior Center, where she also found joy in the company of friends.
Grace was the last surviving sibling of Eddie, John, Francis, and Marie. Though she outlived her brothers and sister, her love for family never diminished. She leaves behind many nieces and nephews who cherished her stories and were inspired by her kindness, independence, and generous heart.
Grace’s life was one of quiet service, strong faith, and joyful moments. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
