LACONIA ---- Raymond Lionel Beaulieu, 75, of Tranquility Turn, passed away Sunday, May 11, 2025 after a period of declining health.
He was born September 8, 1949, in Manchester, NH one of three sons of George and Jeanne (Levesque) Beaulieu. As a longtime resident, he attended local schools and graduated from St. Marie High School in 1967. Ray worked for Workplace Systems, Inc for 40 years as a Welding Foreman before retiring in 2013. Shortly after retiring he moved to Laconia.
Raymond loved to do jigsaw puzzles, sudoku, and crossword puzzles, and was an avid gardener. He enjoyed planting vegetables and flowers in the spring, but his favorite things to grow were tomatoes and cucumbers. These he shared with family, friends, and neighbors. He enjoyed keeping busy and helping his neighbors. He professed to not be an animal or dog lover; however, they all naturally gravitated to him. He will be deeply missed by those who knew him.
He is survived by a son Timothy Beaulieu of Hampton, SC; daughter and son-in-law Karyn and Ryan VanZanten of New Castle, PA and daughter Cheryl Beaulieu of Portsmouth, VA; grandchildren Derek Henderson, Jessica Hedberg, Jade Lazaro, and Markus Beaulieu, 6 great-grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law Marcel and Patricia Beaulieu of Laconia, Gerald Beaulieu and his husband Bill Fuchs of Rehoboth Beach, DE, and his step-sister and her husband Pauline and Bill Thurston of Fort Ney, TX. He was predeceased by his parents and step brother Ronald Tremblay.
A Memorial Service will be held Friday, May 16, 2025, at 2:00pm, in the Carriage House at the Wilkinson-Beane-Simoneau-Paquette Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, NH using the Carriage House entrance.
