Edmond M. “Eddy” Alvares, 67, of Cider Lane, Greenville, passed away surrounded by his family on May 8th in the Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, MA. He was the beloved husband of Jeannine C. ( Tessier ) Alvares.
Born in East Providence, a son of the late Edmond and Constance ( Velletri ) Alvares. He had lived in Greenville for 25 years previously living in Johnston.
He had been a plumber/pipe fitter with Delta Mechanical for 25 years before retiring in 2017.
Eddy enjoyed spending time with his family and his grandchildren.
Besides his wife he leaves his children, Alicia Voyer and her husband Dan of Dayville, CT, Gianna Alvares of Greenville, Austin Alvares and his wife Megan of Warwick. He was the grandfather of Jake, Jordan and Rylee Voyer, and Camden and Avery Alvares. He was the brother of Christopher Alvares of South Kingstown RI and Leslie Pitocchelli of Coventry RI.
A funeral service will be held at 11:30am on Friday May 16th in the Anderson-Winfield Funeral Home, Route 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville. Visitation will be held Friday May 16th from 8:30am to 11:30am. His burial will be private.
