Loving step-mother of Anthony Giordano and his wife Yolanda of Fitchburg and the late Paul Giordano. Dear sister of Vincent Olivero of Chelsea, Dora Apruzzese and Louise Rock both of Everett and the late Frank and Armando Olivero, Lena Picariello and Josephine DePrizio. Cherished grandmother of Debra Coveney, Paul Cacciapuoti and his wife Alecia, Domenic Cacciapuoti, Jr. and his wife Jessica and Mark Cacciapuoti and his wife Karen. Treasured great grandmother of Sophia, Freddie, Isabella and Noah. Also lovingly survived by many nieces and nephews. family and friends are kindly invited to attend a Funeral from the Smith Funeral Home, 125 Washington Avenue, CHELSEA on Monday morning, August 21st at 8 AM followed by a Funeral Mass celebrated in St. Rose Church, 601 Broadway, CHELSEA at 9 o'clock. Visiting Hours in the Smith Funeral Home on Sunday from 3-7 PM. Services will conclude with interment at Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden. A well known and beloved Chelsea resident, Helen, passed away at the Bear Hill Nursing Home in Wakefield where had been recieving supportive care for the last year at the age of 91.
In her early years, she was employeed as a sticher in the shoe industry. But many will lovingly remember her as the counter help and "slush lady" at Spritz's which was located at Central Avenue and Shurtleff Street.
