Today, we are here to remember and honor a very special man, Joseph Victor Patrick Charles, more fondly known as Yves by family and close friends. Yves Charles was born on September 3, 1956, in Mirebalais, Haiti. He had the typical loving upbringing and childhood in Haiti with his parents and siblings. Yves completed his education in Mirebalais. He immigrated to the United States of America in 1978 and settled down in Boston, MA, near his siblings. He spent most of his career working as a driver in the transportation system. He married Marie Mercie Charles, and they had three children, Lester, Evans, and Tracy.
Yves was a handyman, and you could always count on him to help with any home improvement projects. He was always willing to help anyone in need, and you could always count on him. The world is a sadder place, and there is an emptiness in our hearts without Yves Charles in our lives. Yves touched everyone of us and has left us with memories we will forever cherish.
Yves is survived by his wife, Marie Mercie Charles, his children Lester Charles, Evans Charles, Tracy Charles, and Joyi Charles, and his grandchildren, Javante, Dion, Jordan, Ermias, Jedidiah-Divine, and Shiloh. He is also survived by his brothers and sisters, Josette Joseph, Jean Marseilles (Don), Jean Frid Marseilles, Jean A. Charles, Yvrose Bosquet, Margaret Jeudy, Hugens Charles, and Jean Claude Charles. His other siblings, Martial Charles and Ketly Marseilles, are deceased.
Family and friends are invited to attend the viewing hour on Saturday May 24, 2025 from 9-10 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 AM in Our Lady of Perpetual Help. 1545 Tremont Street, Boston, MA. 02119. Burial will be in St. Michael Cemetery, 500 Canterbury Street, Roslindale, MA.
