Paul R. Neece, age 73, passed away on May 3, 2025. He was born on August 1, 1951 in Chicopee, son of the late Joseph R. Neece and Doris R. (Groux) Neece. Paul worked as a machinist for Lamb Knitting Machine Corporation for many years before he retired. He is survived by many cousins and extended family members who will miss him dearly, including his cousins Michael R. Neece and his wife Heather of New York, Jeffrey A. Neece, and Tracy Daborowski of Westfield, and Caron Neece Falcone and her husband Greg of Monson. Paul was proud of his father’s military service during World War Two having served at Normandy and the Battle of the Bulge at the Ardeness Forest.
Paul was a gentle soul, soft spoken, and a loyal friend. He spoke highly of anyone that showed him kindness. When you were his friend, you could depend on an annual birthday or anniversary card from him every year. Paul had many unique interests including electronics, movies, comic books and musicals. He was an avid reader and had a wealth of knowledge of old movies and history. Paul was employed at Lamb Knotting Machine Corporation in Chicopee where he did electrical work, assembly, and packaging. He was a valued members of the LAMB team, and he treated his coworkers like a second family.
Paul was also a dedicated caregiver to his friend Steve Giokas. Paul’s genuine concern and efforts in caring for him will always be remembered by the Giokas family. Paul will be dearly missed by his coworkers, neighbors, family, and friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, May 20, 2025 from 10:00 - 11:00 AM at the Grise Funeral Home, 280 Springfield St, Chicopee, followed by a prayer service at 11:00 AM. Burial will take place in St Patrick’s Cemetery, Chicopee. For online condolences, please visit www.GriseFH.com.
