GILFORD ---- Jean ‘Jeannie’ Marie Ferreira, 66, of Stone Road, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 9, 2025, at The Birches at Concord, a memory care facility.
Jean was born on December 22, 1958, in Worcester, MA, the daughter of Leo Lavin, Sr., and Marie-Paule (Girard) Lavin.
She was full of life and enjoyed many hobbies including riding and showing her horse Pepe, music, karaoke, and competing in triathlons. Most of all, she enjoyed traveling and riding her motorcycle with the love of her life, Mike. Together, they enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Anyone that met Jeannie never forgot her! She was always the life of any party and never went anywhere without her signature cowboy hat.
While she loved bartending, she was a gifted holistic healer. Jeannie was a certified Equestrian Myotherapist and worked on horses all over New England. She also worked her healing energy on humans, helping many suffering from chronic diseases.
Jean is survived by her sister Beth DePasquale, sister-in-law Mary Lavin, four nieces (Sarah DePasquale; Shanie DePasquale; Maura (Lavin) Bettez and spouse; Kristen (Lavin) Fuller and spouse), one nephew (Kenneth Henneberry and spouse), and three great nephews. She is also survived by her stepdaughters, Allison Ferreira and Andrea Ferreira. In addition to her parents, Jean is predeceased by her beloved husband, Michael ‘Miami’ Ferreira, and brother Leo Lavin, Jr.
A Calling Hour will be held on Wednesday, May 14, 2025, from 9:00 -10:00 am, at St. Andre Bessette Parish at Sacred Heart Church, 291 Union Avenue, Laconia, NH 03246.
A Mass of Christian burial will take place at 10:00 am at the church.
Burial will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Garfield Street, Laconia, NH.
