George B. Beaudoin, 80

George B. Beaudoin, age 80, of Mansfield, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, May 7, 2025 at the Brigham & Women’s Hospital in Boston. He was the beloved husband of Patricia A. (Jaros) Beaudoin, to whom he was wed for fifty-five years.
Born in Troy, New York on February 10, 1945, he was a loving son of the late George and Mary (Eagan) Beaudoin.
George grew up in Troy and was a 1962 graduate of LaSalle Institute. On July 6, 1965, he entered the United States Air Force and following over three years of proud service to his country, George was honorably discharged on December 12, 1968 with the rank of Sergeant.
George later returned to his studies, graduating in 1975 with an Associates Degree in Electrical Technology from Hudson Valley Community College and in 1979, he earned his Bachelor’s Degree from Siena College. A retired engineer, Mr. Beaudoin spent his working career in the paper industry.
A resident of Mansfield for the past thirty-nine years, he had previously made his home in Rockport, Maine. George was a communicant of Saint Mary’s Church in Mansfield and nothing made him happier than the joy and pleasure of spending time with his much-loved adoring family. George was also an avid golfer and sports enthusiast, who delighted in being a big fan of New England Patriots and Boston Celtics.
The Beaudoin family would like to especially thank Doctor James Cleary and Doctor David Barbie and their staff for the personal care and loving attention shown to George.
In addition to his beloved wife Pat, he is survived by his devoted daughters, Susan E. Bouchard and her husband Stephen of Boston, Rebecca A. Devine and her husband Paul, Jr. of Hingham and Amy L. Jackson and her husband George, Jr. of Bridgewater. He was the cherished grandfather of Hannah, Madeleine, Maxwell, Shamus, Emma, Bailey, Sophie and William. He was the dear brother of John “Jack” Beaudoin and his late wife Beverly of New York, Lucy Wemple and her husband Don of New York and the late Patrick Beaudoin, who is survived by his wife Janice of New York. He was the special brother-in-law of Richard Jaros and his wife Terry of Ohio and the late Elizabeth Pais and her late husband Silvio “Mac” Pais. He is also survived by his loving nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend visiting hours on Sunday, May 11th from 6:00-8:00 P.M. at the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home, 55 North Main Street, Mansfield.
His funeral will begin on Monday, May 12th at 9:30 A.M. from the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at 10:30 A.M. in Saint Mary’s Church, 330 Pratt Street (Route 106) Mansfield. Burial, along with military honors will follow at Saint Mary’s Cemetery in Mansfield.
