Worcester – William R. Bratchell, 86, of Worcester, passed away on Wednesday, May 7, 2025 in Saint Vincent Hospital after an illness.
Mr. Bratchell was born in Worcester, son of the late Frank and Marie C. (Lariviere) Bratchell. He is survived by a sister, Dawn McGovern of Worcester and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews including Debra Johnson and Cheryl Choruzek who helped care for him.
He worked for many years at both the former Salter press and The Thom McAn Company until his retirement. Mr. Bratchell always enjoyed fishing, especially deep-sea fishing and looked forward to taking day trips to the casino. He recently began attending the bible study group at the Colony Retirement Homes, where he lived and most of all he was the happiest when he was spending time with his great nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, May 13 at 11:30 AM in Worcester County Memorial Park 217 Richards Ave. (Section – Garden of Gospel).
