Edward “Kyle” Fuller, Jr., 85, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Wednesday, May 7, 2025, at the Oaks at Lake Wildwood Senior Living in Macon, Georgia.

Funeral services will be held 11 AM, Tuesday, May 13, 2025, at the Church of the Nazarene, in Fitzgerald, Georgia, with the Rev. Gary Mimbs, the Rev. Ike Branch, and the Rev. Steve Hood officiating. Interment will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery, in Fitzgerald, Georgia, with the Rev. Tim Long officiating. The family will receive friends from 6-8 Monday evening at the funeral home in Fitzgerald as well as one hour prior to the services at the church for those unable to attend on Monday.

Mr. Fuller was born February 11, 1940, in Ocilla, Georgia, to the late Edward Kyle Fuller, Sr. & Mae Lita Ashurst Fuller. A lifelong resident of Fitzgerald, he was a 1958 graduate of Fitzgerald High School and went on to graduate from South Georgia Trade and Vocational School in Americus and the Coyne Electrical School in Chicago. He then spent over 30 years as a service technician for Sears, Roebuck and Company, traveling all over Ben Hill and surrounding counties repairing appliances of all kinds. He could fix anything.

On June 9, 1961, Mr. Fuller married his high school sweetheart, Dorothy Jean Downing, and together they faithfully served their Lord and their church for the next 60+ years. He served for many years on the local church board of the Church of the Nazarene. He was also heavily involved in district activities, including serving on the District Advisory Board, the Camp Board, and the district missions council. For over 20 years he served as the Georgia District Work & Witness coordinator, planning and leading mission teams all over the world, including Africa, Haiti, Peru, Jamaica, Costa Rica, France, New Mexico, Panama, Nicaragua, and Guatemala. He also had the opportunity to be a part of a mission trip to the Amazon. Together with Dorothy, he was the recipient of the Distinguished Service Award on both the local and district level.

Throughout his life, Mr. Fuller was an avid fisherman and gun enthusiast. He spent countless weekends setting up at flea markets all over Georgia and was known throughout the area for his junk-dealing and wheeling and dealing. The ringtone on his cell phone for many years was the very appropriate “Sanford and Son” ring tone. He also loved to travel and was always ready to go anywhere, if someone said the word “go”.

Mr. Fuller is survived by his wife of 63 years, Dorothy Jean Downing Fuller; children: Lauren Fuller (Teresa) and Lita Buher (Brad); his grandchildren: Matthew Fuller (Natalie), Malaurie McElmurray (Chad), Brady Buher (McKenzie) and Rayna Buher; great-grandchildren: Annsley McElmurray and Andrew Fuller; a brother, Kenny Drew Fuller (Carol); a sister, Mary Kyle King Griffin. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents, as well as his step-sister, Sandra Handley Roth.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to Adrian Camp and Conference Center, 37 Meeks Rd, Adrian, GA 31002 or Georgia District Nazarene Missions International, c/o Eunice Hood, 124 Deerrun St, Fitzgerald, GA 31750.
