Obituary

Adam T. Ardan, 37

It is with deep sorrow, we announce the passing of Adam Thomas Ardan, who left us unexpectedly on May 4, 2025. Adam was a source of light, laughter, and strength to everyone who knew him.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Krystle C. (Noyes) Ardan, and his devoted mother, Mary E. (Papageorge) Ardan. He was predeceased by his loving father, Thomas Ardan; his paternal grandparents Migirdich and Akabi (Kooymijian) Ardan; and his maternal grandparents, Emmanuel and Angelina (Christedes) Papageorge. Adam was also predeceased by his uncle, Raffi Ardan, and his godfather, George Papageorg as well as his godmother, Mari Kooyomjiam.

Adam is also remembered with love by his aunts, Mine Ardan and Mary Papageorge, who both mourn his passing. He leaves behind his first cousins Arda Ardan, Alen Ardan, Melanie Philbrick and her husband, Steven, and Angelina Williamson and her husband, Oliver, along with many more cherished family members and friends who live in the United States, Canada, Greece, and Turkey. His loyal pets — Jaida, Ziggy, Saki, Fendi, and Serkhan — will also miss him dearly.

As a child, Adam enjoyed playing soccer during his early school years, and went on to earn his black belt in Junior Tae Kwon Do. A proud graduate of Shepherd Hill Regional High School, Adam was a standout athlete, earning the honor of Defensive Lineman of the Year in 2005 and 2006; and was then named Defensive Lineman of the Year for Central Massachusetts during his senior year of high school. He continued his education at Merrimack College where he earned a College Superbowl Ring as a starting player his freshman year.

Adam was a devoted member of St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Cathedral, where he embraced both his Greek and Armenian heritages. Adam had a rare gift for making people laugh and feel at home. His fondest times were spending summers on Cape Cod where he loved going to the beach and boating on the ocean with family and friends, as they fished for hours. His passion for movies and music was unmatched. His playlists blended Armenian, Greek, and Turkish favorites along with rap, hip hop, and country.

Having a fun-loving personality, Adam brought warmth, humor, and energy to every room he entered. He treasured time with family and friends and left a lasting impression on everyone he met. His spirit lives on in the stories, songs, and laughter he inspired. Adam had a remarkable ability to turn strangers into friends, and everyday moments into lasting memories. Though deeply missed, his legacy of love and joy will continue to shine.

Services will be held at St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 102 Russell Street, Worcester on Saturday, May 10th. Calling hours will take place from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., promptly followed by the funeral service. Interment will take place at Hope Cemetery immediately following.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Second Chance Animal Hospital or St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Cathedral, in honor of Adam’s life and faith.

To truly honor Adam, his family encourages you to live with authenticity, love without hesitation, laugh often, and embrace life fearlessly… just as he did every day.
