Lyn A. Curtin
Beloved mother, wife and grandmother, passed in her sleep after a long battle with health issues. Born March 19, 1952 she lived a life devoted to helping others.
Lyn graduated from Abington High School in 1970 and married Anthony F. Curtin Jr. August 5, 1972, whom she met while working together at an elder care facility. After raising her family, she realized her dream becoming a special needs teacher graduating Suma Cum Laude with a Master’s Degree in education. She loved teaching and had a lasting impact on all those she taught and worked with.
She loved the outdoors, spending summers camping with her husband, making annual camping trips to Cape Cod, and traveling. She loved watching the Patriots every Sunday. Lyn’s greatest joy was her family. Being a mother and grandmother are her greatest loves. She had a lasting impact on the lives of everyone she had contact with.
She is survived by her husband Anthony F. Curtin Jr., sons Anthony F. Curtin III and Jason M. Curtin, daughter-in-law Nicole (Casavant) Curtin, grandchildren Liam D. Curtin, Patrick M. Curtin and Freya Curtin. She is one of seven siblings. Dick, Larry, Don, Jon, Cliff Jacob, and sister, Carol (Jacob). Best aunt to many nieces and nephews.
Her memory is a comfort to all those who knew her.
Her funeral will take place on Tuesday, May 13, 2025 at 10:30am at St. Bridget Church, 455 Plymouth St, Abington. Burial will follow at Central Cemetery, Halifax. Visiting hours will be held on Monday from 4-7pm at the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont St (Rte 123), Brockton.
