Obituary

Elizabeth Katherine Parslow, 33, passed away on May 5, 2025, in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, after a prolonged hospital stay treating her medical conditions. Born on June 18, 1991, in Portland, Maine, Elizabeth—known to many as Liz—brought light and warmth into the lives of those around her.

A graduate of Thornton Academy in 2009, Elizabeth’s passion for music and the arts was evident from a young age. During high school, she was an active member of the Chorus and earned spots in two auditioned ensembles: the Chamber Singers and Treble Choir. Her musical talents extended beyond singing; she played violin, piano and taught herself to play guitar. A gifted songwriter, she often wrote and performed her own music, sharing pieces of her heart through every lyric and melody.

In addition to her musical pursuits, Elizabeth had a creative spirit that found expression in drawing. Her artistic talents were matched by her natural grace—she also worked as a model. Whether in front of a camera or behind a sketchpad, Elizabeth brought beauty and authenticity to everything she did.

Summers were spent relaxing at the family camp, enjoying water sports on the boat, and soaking up time with family and friends.

Those who knew Elizabeth remember her quick smile that could brighten any room. She had an extraordinary ability to make people feel welcome—as if they had known her forever. Her warmth, kindness and stubborn streak left lasting impressions on everyone fortunate enough to cross her path.

Elizabeth is lovingly remembered by her parents, Gregory and Amy Parslow; her siblings Zachary Parslow and his wife Kayla; Haley Blanchette and her husband Peter; Noah Parslow; Skye Desruisseaux and her husband Chris; Emma Parslow; Dani Liberty and her partner Keegan Bouffard; Troy Stringer and his partner Brittney Steele; her step-brother Michael Rumery and his wife Mikayla; as well as by her birth parents Bradley Parslow Sr. and Kristan Stringer with stepfather Jeremiah Stringer. She is also survived by her grandparents Bob and Anita Parslow; Gerald and Winona Benoit; and Nancy Bird LaChance.

She was predeceased by her brother Bradley Parslow Jr., whose memory she carried close to her heart.

Elizabeth’s life was filled with creativity, compassion, and connection. Though gone too soon, the echoes of her voice, the lines of her drawings, and the warmth of her presence will continue to live on in the hearts of those who loved her.

May her memory bring comfort to all who knew her.
