Ann Elizabeth Israelson (Vigoda) of Winchester and formerly a longtime resident of Hudson and Framingham passed away on May 5 at the age of 81. Ann grew up in Revere and Beverly and graduated Beverly High School. She studied to become a Legal Secretary at Grahm Junior College. She was a stay at home mother and homemaker for many years and then later re-entered the workforce. She was a longtime Executive Assistant at Natick Labs in the food labs and then USARIEM. She loved the ocean, was an avid reader and enjoyed gardening.
Ann was the beloved daughter of the late Philip and the late Ethel Vigoda. She was the loving mother of Sheldon Israelson and his wife Kayla, Evan Israelson and his wife Kristen, and Julie Hernandez and her husband Sebastian Hernandez. Ann was the devoted grandmother of Cayley Israelson, Lily Israelson, and Ariana Hernandez. Ann was predeceased by her brothers Henry Vigoda and Louis Vigoda and leaves behind her sister-in-law (unofficial big sister) Phyllis as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her former husband Arthur with whom she remained friendly.
Funeral service at the Torf Funeral Chapel, 151 Washington Ave., Chelsea, on Thursday, May 8 at 9:30. Interment in Everett. Donations in Ann’s memory may be made to Multiple Sclerosis – New England Chapter, American Cancer Society or Wounded Warrior Project. She will be missed by all who loved her.
