LIMINGTON- Elizabeth Ann Nohr, age 75, wife of Jerry, passed away at her home on May 2, 2025.
Beth was born in Minneapolis, MN on the 6th of September 1949 to Mary Patricia (Rogers) and Clarence Everett Thornhill of Minneapolis, MN. After an idyllic childhood roaming the shores of Mille Lacs Lake with her sisters and little brother, Beth graduated from Coon Rapids High School and attended Anoka Community College to pursue a career in nursing. After a rather intense frog dissection, Beth promptly changed her major to theater where she soon met a curious charity case lurking around the theater department. After a whirlwind courtship of semi-audible grunts and noncommittal nods, Beth married Jerry Nohr on March 13th, 1971. Beth was the proud mother of a wonderful child (and three other ok kids). Beth spent her life in quiet service to her family and community, tirelessly knitting and sewing for every community outreach program. Beth is preceded in death by her parents and her sisters Dorthy Dee and Mary Margaret. Beth is survived by her husband of 54 years, Jerry Nohr, her siblings Pam Nelson and Scott (Diane) Thornhill, her children Johnna (Justin) Kohler, Orion (Jamie) Nohr, Colby Nohr and Erin (Woodrow) Miner, 20 grandchildren, 6 (soon to be 8) great grandchildren. She also leaves behind hosts of adopted siblings, kids and grandkids that she has acquired along the way.
Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, May 8th from 3 - 5 PM at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 209 Federal Road (Rt.25), Parsonsfield.
