Lakeland, FL – John S. “Jay” Berube, 52, of Lakeland, FL and formerly of Oxford, passed away after a long illness on Friday, April 25, 2025 in Lakeland Regional Medical Center.
Jay is survived by his loving wife of 22 years, Aimee R. (Houle) Berube; his mother, Nancy (Hay) Berube of North Oxford; a brother, Kevin L. Berube and his wife, Stacey of Rutland; a sister, Debra E. Lussier of Leominster and her husband, Craig and many nephews and nieces.
Mr. Berube was born in Worcester and is predeceased by his father, John H. Berube who died in 2021. Jay graduated from Oxford High School in 1991 and then continued his education at Bridgewater State University majoring in finance and graduating with a bachelor’s degree in 1995.
He worked for Morgan Stanley for many years and retired in 2014 due to illness. Jay took great enjoyment playing his guitar and following the New England Patriots but he was a truly a homebody at heart. His family was always his priority and nothing made him happier than doing anything he could to make his beloved wife, Aimee happy.
His funeral will be held on Friday, May 23 at 10:30 AM in Bethel Lutheran Church 90 Bryn Mawr Avenue Auburn, MA. Burial will immediately follow in Saint John’s Cemetery, Worcester. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, May 22 from 5 to 7 PM in the Alfred Roy & Sons Funeral Home 12 Hammond St. Worcester.
