Linda M. (Nordstrom) LaBranche, 76, formerly of Auburn, MA, Spencer, MA, and Palmetto, FL, passed away on May 5, 2025. Her husband of 38 years, Francis A. “Frank”, died on April 17, 2024.
She leaves her daughter & son-in-law, Jennifer L. (Chase) & Kevin C. Katori, of East Falmouth, with whom she lived, her beloved grandcat Garfield who brought her such joy, a brother Richard E. (Deborah) Nordstom of Inverness, FL, a brother-in-law, Bernard (Virginia) LaBranche, Sr., a sister-in-law Evelyn Devoe, several cousins and many nieces and nephews. A brother, David A. Nordstrom and sister-(Barbara Jean) pre-deceased her.
She was born in Worcester, daughter of the late David O. & Mary J. (Tuomi) Nordstrom, raised in Auburn, graduated from Auburn High School and was a post-grad in cosmetology from David Hale Fanning Trade School. She attended Worcester Junior College. Linda worked as a hairdresser for many years in the Webster Square area of Worcester, she was the Secretary/Registrar of the 4-H Camp in Spencer, and a Pharmacy Tech at Walgreens in Worcester. Her last job was as a secretary at Britton Wallace Funeral Home in Auburn.
She was a former member of Bethel Lutheran Church in Auburn and Trinity Lutheran Church in Bradenton, FL.
Linda enjoyed reading, spending time on her laptop, staying in touch with family and friends on social media, and playing card and word games. Being near the water was her “happy place”.

A memorial service will be held at Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln Street, Worcester, MA 01605 on Wednesday, May 14, 2025 at 10:30 a.m.. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Linda to People for Cats, 44 Beagle Ln, Teaticket, MA 02536.
Linda and her late husband Frank will have their ashes scattered together in the ocean off of Cape Cod.
