Joseph Stotik
...of Tewksbury, Army veteran; 57
TEWKSBURY - Joseph Stotik, age 57, a well known member of the Tewksbury community, died
Thursday morning, August 17, at Saints Memorial Medical Center in Lowell, following a brief
illness. He was the beloved husband of Patricia (O’Neill) Stotik, with whom he would have
celebrated a 30th wedding anniversary on October 23rd.
He was born in Tewksbury, April 24, 1949, a son of the late Alexander and Helen (Andrew)
Stotik. He was raised in Tewksbury and graduated Tewksbury Memorial High School with the
Class of 1967. He was a lifelong resident of Tewksbury.
He was self employed as a carpet installer.
Mr. Stotik, was a communicant of St. Dorothy’s Church in Wilmington.
He was described by his wife as having devoted his life to his family, and by his sons as never
having missed a sports event when they were participants. He was also a big fan of Boston’s
professional sports teams.
Besides his wife he is survived by two sons, Jason P. Stotik, and Adam R. Stotik, both of
Tewksbury; six brothers and sisters, Frances Clevenger, Anna and her husband Rexford
Millspaugh, Ustin Stotik, and John Stotik, all of Tewksbury, Evelyn and her husband David Lang
of Texas, Mary and her husband Joseph Sullivan of Andover; his sisters-in-law and brothers-in-
law, Richard and Carol O’Neill, Betty and Bill Johnson, John and Teresa O’Neill, Sharon and
Steve Zaremba, all of Tewksbury, Barbara and Gary Stack of Lowell; several aunts and uncles;
and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was also brother of the late Alexander Stotik.
His
funeral Mass was celebrated Tuesday, August 22, in St. Dorothy’s Church,
Wilmington. Burial with Army Honors was in Tewksbury Cemetery. Memorials to the Yawkey Cancer Center c/o M.G.H.
