Norman L. Lareau, age 84, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on May 3, 2025. Norman was born on September 14, 1940 in Springfield, son of the late Leo and Mildred (Kintgois) Lareau. He served in the US Coast Guard during the Vietnam Era. He worked as a welder for Hayden Corp., for many years before he retired. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Nancy E. (Mandeville) Lareau of Chicopee; two sons, Jeffrey M. Lareau and his wife Kimberly of West Yarmouth and Christopher J. Lareau and his wife Janet of Feeding Hills; three brothers, Robert Lareau of Chicopee; Gary Lareau of Chicopee; Ronald Lareau and his wife Belinda of Chicopee; one sister, Jacqueline Chamberland and her husband Francis of Chicopee; four beloved grandchildren, Andrew Lareau and his wife Kristen, Caroline Lareau, Justin Lareau and Amanda Lareau. He also leaves many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members and friends who will miss him dearly. He is predeceased by his brother David Lareau and also by his sister-in-law Ruth Lareau.
