Antonetta M. Fogarty (Procaccini) age 87, of Brockton, passed away on Friday, May 2, 2025, at Alliance Health at West Acres in Brockton. She was the wife of the late John M. Fogarty.
Born and raised in Brockton, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Santina (Ferrara) Procaccini.
Antonetta graduated from Brockton High School and after her marriage to John, they traveled while he served in the United States Airforce. She was known to many as being kind, sweet, strong-willed, and was always there for her friends. Mrs. Fogarty was very proud of being independent and did so many things on her own.
Some of her pastimes include her love of shopping, gourmet cooking, music, especially Italian opera music, old movies, and coffee hour with her friends. Most of all, Antonetta enjoyed spending time with her family. One of the best highlights in her life was her trip to Italy with her husband, it was a trip of a lifetime.
She is survived by her two daughters, Kathleen Samaras and her husband Thomas Samaras of Brockton and Patricia Riley and fiancé Ryan MacDonald of Middleboro; a sister-in-law, Margaret Sheehan and her husband Bob; her beloved grandchildren Thomas Samaras, Jr. and his wife Kristyn, Christopher Samaras, Joseph Riley, Jr., Megan Riley; two great grandchildren Aubrey Samaras and Caden Samaras; two step-granddaughters Mallory MacDonald and Camryn MacDonald, and many nieces and nephews. Antonetta was the sister of the late Joseph, John & Ernest Procaccini, Jr.
Relatives and friends are cordially invited to visit with Antonetta’s family on Friday, May 9, 2025, from 9:45 – 10:45 am, with a funeral service beginning at 10:45 am, in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte. 123) Brockton. Interment will follow at the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Connery Avenue, in Bourne.
