JOHN “JACK” R. BRACKEN, SR. OBITUARY
John “Jack” Robert Bracken, Sr., 81, of Clymer, PA, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 3, 2025 at Indiana Regional Medical Center in Indiana, PA.
The son of Donald L. and Jessie M. (Middleton) Bracken Wahlenmaier, he was born on August 5, 1943 in Indiana, PA.
Jack was a member of the Bible Baptist Church of Indiana, where he helped in building the church. Jack was also a member of the Indiana Franklin Masonic Lodge #313.
He was a Pennsylvania State Trooper for twenty-five years and very proud of his work in the gas fields at various positions.
Jack enjoyed hunting, fishing and reading the Sunday comics.
He is survived by his wife Carol (Hess) Bracken; his four children: John R. Bracken, Jr. and wife Cheryl of Home, PA; Jason E. Bracken and wife Jeanette of Clymer, PA; Paul B. Bracken and wife Karen of Clymer, PA and Richard J. Bracken and companion Kalsy Susko of Clymer, PA; his eight grandchildren and his eight great grandchildren.
Jack was preceded in death by his parents: his grandson: Mitchell Bracken; his siblings: Janet Stoner; Charles Bracken; Donna McCutcheon and William Bracken; his father-in-law and mother-in-law: Blaine and Margaret Hess.
Family and friends will be received at the Rairigh Funeral Home, Ltd. in Hillsdale, PA from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the 3:00 p.m. funeral service on Wednesday, May 7, 2025. Pastor Bob Sunseri will be the officiant. Inurnment will be at the Rowley Cemetery in Hillsdale, PA.
