Susan Spatcher, of Franklin, Massachusetts, formerly of Warwick, Rhode Island, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones.
Born and raised in Warwick, Susan lived a life rooted in creativity and devotion to her family. She was the proud and loving mother of three children: Margaret and her husband Ben Leblanc, Melissa Viveiros, and Mark and his wife Katie Spatcher. Susan was also the adoring grandmother to six cherished grandchildren — Olive and Adalyn Leblanc, Madison and Faith Viveiros, and Millie and Sloane Spatcher — who were the pride and joy of her life.
Susan is also survived by her brother, Peter D’Orsi, and his wife Joyce, with whom she shared a lifelong bond of love and family.
Susan had a true gift for creating beauty with her hands. She loved crocheting and crafting, and she especially delighted in baking Christmas cookies — a tradition that brought joy to her family and filled the home with warmth and sweetness. Whether through a handmade blanket, a tin of cookies, or a thoughtful card, she found joy in making others feel loved and cared for, always offering her steady, comforting presence.
Her memory will live on through the countless lives she touched and the many beautiful things she created. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to support pancreatic cancer research, in honor of Susan’s memory and strength.
In lieu of formal services, the family will host a Celebration of Life at a future date, where friends and loved ones can come together to share memories and honor Susan’s beautiful legacy.
The Charles F. Oteri and Son Franklin Funeral Home 33 Cottage St. is honored to assist the Spatcher family.
