Allan J. Lueb, age 79, passed away at home on April 26, 2025. He was born on March 7, 1946 in New York, son of the late Joseph S. Lueb and Jean (Sobieraj) Lueb. Allan served in the US Navy and was a Vietnam Veteran. He later worked as a salesman and in transportation logistics for HubCity Transportation for many years before he retired. Allan taught transportation logistics at Holyoke Community College for 20 years and loved everything about teaching. He was a member of the Mt. Holyoke Masons, loved sports cars, Doo-Wop music and was an avid Star Trek and sci-fi fan. He loved telling his children stories of growing up with Joe, BJ, Vinnie and his many other friends in the suburbs of New Jersey. Allan also fondly remembered all of his time spent with friends and family at the Jersey shore. He is survived by his son Adam Lueb and his wife Vanessa Williams of Holyoke; one daughter, Jill Lueb of Chicopee and her partner Joseph Corso; and one brother Kent Lueb and his wife Willina of Montana. Allan is survived by his beloved dog, Phoenix and cat, Isis. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, May 6, 2025 from 5:00 – 7:00 PM at the Grise Funeral Home, 280 Springfield St, Chicopee.
