Obituary

Yvette R. (Ledoux) Prosser, 90, formerly of Worcester passed away Wednesday, April 30, 2025, in Whitney Place, Northborough. She is predeceased by her husband of sixty-eight years, Gordon G. Prosser, Sr.
She is survived by her children, Christine Mauro and her husband, Bradford, Gordon Prosser, Jr. and his wife, Cynthia Dombrowski, Steven Prosser and his wife, Saile, Judith Brennan and her husband, John, Daniel Prosser and his wife, Tara, and Timothy Prosser and his wife, Krishan; eighteen grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a sister Rolande Ledoux and many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her siblings, Roland, Paul and Arthur Ledoux, Jeannette Desautels, Cecile McEntee, Claire Lauring, and Rita Cormier. She was one of nine children of the late George H. and Juliette A (Bourassa) Ledoux.
Yvette graduated from St. Stephen’s High School and worked many years as a customer service representative and tax preparer for HR Block Company. She was a longtime member of St. Joseph Church, Worcester, where she served on the Parish Council, Liturgy Committee, was a lector, Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion, and sang in the parish choir. Because of her strong belief that death was a re-birth, Yvette requests that guests wear bright colors to the funeral.
Family was very important to Mrs. Prosser and many parties were held by the poolside where she enjoyed watching her grandchildren play and grow. Getting a pair of hand knit slippers or blanket from Grandma was always a special treat.
The calling hours will be Tuesday, May 6, 2025, from 9:30 am to 11:00 am in Saint Joseph Church, 35 Hamilton Street, followed immediately by the funeral Mass. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph’s Choir, c/o/ 356 Grafton St., Worcester, MA 01604.
