Hilda Stone Carter, 80, of Tifton passed away Thursday, May 1, 2025, at Pruitt Health Magnolia Manor in Moultrie. Her funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, May 4, 2025, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with the Rev. John Smith officiating. Mrs. Carter will be laid to rest at Tift Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Sunday, May 4, 2025, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals from 1:00 p.m. until the hour of the service.
Born September 4, 1944, in Tifton, Mrs. Carter was the daughter of the late Arnold Stone and Ruth Pope Stone. She was a homemaker and caregiver; a member of Tifton’s First Assembly of God; and she loved her dogs, Laci and Poppy.
Mrs. Carter is survived by her husband, Kent Carter of Tifton; two sons and their spouses, Alan and Keily Parrish of Ty Ty and Jamie Parrish and Dr. Kirk Paulk of Sandy Springs; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Debbie and Steve Edenfield and Rhonda and Steve Pearson, all of Tifton and Billie Tyson of Atlanta; three grandchildren and their spouses, Liz Ann and Justin Bentley, Alli Parrish and Dr. Sarah Nuzzo and Jenalee and Rene Pimentel, all of Tifton; and five great-grandchildren, Tilly and Norah Bentley and Theo, Ollie and Luca Pimentel.
