Richard “Dick” C. Goodlin, 84, of Commodore, PA died Tuesday, April 29, 2025 at Crystal Waters Personal Care Home in Home, PA.
The son of Clayton A. & Mary “Gaye” (Berringer) Goodlin, he was born on May 5, 1940 in Indiana, PA.
Dick served in the U. S. Army during Vietnam.
A retired mechanic, he had worked for McCreary Tire Co. in Indiana, PA and William House Inc. in Scottsdale, PA.
Dick attended the Starford Evangelical Wesleyan Church in Starford, PA.
He enjoyed being in the outdoors, especially spending time hunting and fishing. Two of his other favorite pastimes were watching baseball and football games.
Dick was a member of the Dixonville MOOSE; the Clymer American Legion Post No. 222 and the VFW.
He is survived by his sons: Richard “Mark” Goodlin and wife Laura of Bonifay, FL and Dennis L. Goodlin and wife Janet of Gipsy, PA; nine grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
Also surviving are his three siblings: Mary Hankinson of Chambersville, PA; Jean Goodlin of Commodore, PA and Thomas Goodlin of NC.
Dick was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Melissa ‘Missi’ Goodlin in 2021; brothers Bill and Jim Goodlin; sister D. Joan Hartnett and half brother, Lloyd Nicewonger.

Family and friends will be received from 2-4:00 pm and 6-8:00 pm on Monday, May 5, 2025 at the Rairigh Funeral Home, Ltd. in Hillsdale, PA, where an 11:00 am funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 6, 2025. Family friend, Pastor Darl Dishong will officiate. Military Honors by the Clymer American Legion. Interment will be at the Uniontown Cemetery near Cherry Tree, PA.
