James "Jimmy" E. Flynn, 63, of Lynn, passed away Monday, April 21st, following a year long battle with cancer.
Jimmy was born on September 6, 1961, in Lynn, son of the late John "Jack" and Carole (Mahoney) Flynn. He was raised and educated in Lynn and graduated in 1979 from Classical High School.
Jimmy lived and worked in many areas of the country. He enjoyed living life to the fullest whether traveling, cooking, or entertaining. Jimmy had a larger-than-life personality and was a born storyteller. He could turn a simple conversation into a 30-minute rant. Jimmy especially enjoyed spending time with his loved ones. He was a loyal, kind and devoted son, brother, uncle and friend and will be sorely missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his siblings; Karen Sullivan and her husband James of Saugus, Sharon Grace of Peabody, Coleen Kelter and her husband John of Lynn, Carole Conway and her husband Michael of Nahant, Donna Flanagan and her husband Daniel of Wilmington, Michael Flynn and his wife Christine of Lynnfield, Debbie McCarthy and her husband Dan of Danvers, Linda MacDonald and her husband John of Lynn, Lisa Flynn of Lynn, his godson Shawn Sullivan of Saugus, as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, his brother John "Jackie" Flynn, brothers-in-law James Grace and Anthony "Rick" Pedro.
Graveside Service and Burial will be held at St. Jospeh Cemetery, Lynn.
