Clara Jeanette Thomas Flanigan, 88, of Tifton passed away Thursday, May 1, 2025, at Pruitt Health in Sylvester. A graveside funeral service will be held for Mrs. Flanigan at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 3, 2025, at Cumorah Cemetery in Douglas, where she will be laid to rest. The Rev. Rocky Carrington will officiate.
Born September 13, 1936, in Tift County, Mrs. Flanigan was the daughter of the late Lonzy Thomas and Edith Adams Thomas. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Roger Lee Flanigan; and two brothers, Byron Thomas and Frances Thomas. She was a homemaker before returning to school later in life to become a licensed practical nurse.
Mrs. Flanigan is survived by one son, Terry Flanigan of Tifton; one daughter and son-in-law, Tammy and Jamie Dillard of Tifton; four grandchildren and their spouses, Justin and Chelsea Hasty, Kelly and Lucas Hand, Jamie and Chelsea Dillard and Jessica and Justin Hayles; and four great-grandchildren, Chandler Dillard, Brynton Hayles, Trace Hayles and Barrett Hand.
