Methuen, MA – Felix J. Belair, 83, died Wednesday August 16, 2006 at the Hanna Dustin Nursing Home in Haverhill.
Felix was born in Lawrence and educated at St. Mary’s grammar school and Lawrence High School.
A resident of Methuen, since 1953. He was a former employee of Oxford Paper Mill in Lawrence and in 1987 retired after 17 years with the Raytheon, Co. of Andover as a Material Handler.
Prior to its closing, Felix had been an active communicant of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Methuen
Mr. Belair enjoyed going to Hampton Beach and watching all sports on T.V. and also going to the dog track. Felix loved B.C. sports.
He was the widower of Marion (Metcalfe) Belair.
Survivors include one son Richard J. Belair of Methuen, and one sister Blanche Bisson of Methuen, and one granddaughter Karen Belair and several nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Mass will take place on Monday morning at 9 o’clock in Saint Monica’s Church in Methuen with burial to follow in Saint Mary’s Cemetery of Lawrence.
Friends may call on Sunday from 2-4 p.m. & 7- 9 p.m. at the Pollard Funeral Home, Inc. 233 Lawrence Street in Methuen.
