Joseph John Fanciullo, Jr., 54, of Tewksbury, passed away on Sunday, April 27, at Lahey Clinic in Burlington, after a brief battle with cancer, surrounded by his loving family.
Born on February 1, 1971, in Waltham, MA, to the late Joseph John Fanciullo Sr. and Elaine Kathleen Fanciullo. He was raised in Townsend, MA, and graduated from North Middlesex Regional High School with the Class of 1989. Following graduation, Joe proudly served his country in the United States Army National Guard.
Joe was a dedicated member of the event staff at the Tsongas Center in Lowell. Known for his reliability, friendly demeanor, and ability to connect with guests, he took great pride in helping create a welcoming and enjoyable experience for everyone who came through the doors.
An athlete from a young age, Joe remained passionate about sports throughout his life. He was an enthusiastic fan of all New England teams, however his heart belonged to the Winnipeg Jets. He took immense pride in cheering on his son-in-law, Connor.
Known for his vibrant personality, Joe was truly the life of the party. His beaming smile, and love for music and dancing lit up the room. Outgoing and fun-loving Joe cherished time spent with his family and friends. He found happiness outdoors, especially in the sunshine and by the water.
More than anything, Joe’s greatest love was his family. He is survived by his devoted daughter, Andrea Hellebuyck, and her husband, Connor, of Orchard Lake, MI; his loving son, Joseph A. Fanciullo of Tewksbury; and his cherished grandchildren, Hugh Joseph and Violet Elaine. He also leaves behind his sister, Diane (Fanciullo) Eatherton, and her husband, Phil, of Tewksbury; his nephew, Ryan Eatherton, and his wife, Emma, of Los Angeles, CA; his niece, Rachel Eatherton, and her fiancé, Joe Consolmagno, of Hudson; along with many cousins and extended family.
Joe will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Relatives and friends are welcome to attend his memorial visiting hours on Friday, May 9, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Tewksbury Funeral Home, 1 Dewey Street, Tewksbury, MA 01876.
His committal service will take place at a later date at the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 111 Glenallen St, Winchendon, MA 01475.
