Obituary

Victor Figueroa, Sr., 76, of Worcester, died on Tuesday, April 29th at home surrounded by his loving family. He leaves two daughters, Johanna Bautista and her husband, Leivy, and Anna Delrio all of Worcester; a grandson, Dleivy Baustista of Worcester; two brothers, Edwin and Ramon Figueroa; six sisters, Francesca, Maria, Paula, Margarita, Carmen, and Evelyn Figueroa all of Puerto Rico; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by the love of his life of 40 years, Providencia (Ramos) Figueroa; his son, Victor Figueroa, Jr.; and 8 brothers and sisters.

He was born in Guaynabo, Puerto Rico, the son of Juan and Paula (Rosa) Figueroa. A hardworking man with a generous spirit and a love for life’s simple pleasures, Victor leaves behind a legacy of kindness, strength, and deep devotion to his family. Victor came to the United States from Puerto Rico at the age of 17, where he found his calling in construction and became a proud member of Local #243, working as a laborer for over 30 years. Known for his integrity and tireless work ethic, Victor was respected by colleagues and friends alike as a stand-up man who always lent a hand when it was needed. Outside of work, Victor found joy in music, daily routines like playing the numbers, and cheering on his beloved New York Yankees—he was a die-hard fan who never missed a game. These passions brought him a sense of fun and connection to his community. Above all, he was a family man—generous, kind, and full of love. He especially cherished his grandson, Dleivy, who was the light of his life and the pride of his heart. Victor’s warmth, humor, and unwavering support will be missed by all who knew him. He leaves behind a family who loved him dearly and countless friends who were lucky to have known his quiet strength and big heart.
