Obituary

John B. Tucker, 69, of Sprague Hill Road, Chepachet, died Friday, April 25, 2025 at Miriam Hospital in Providence.

Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Byron F. and Ida M. (Costigan) Tucker. He had lived in Glocester for 45 years.

Before his retirement John was a service manager at Bay Truck Sales for 21 years. He later was the Northeast Regional Manager at Metals Recycling in Boston and a diesel Mechanic at the Glocester Department of Public Works.

He enjoyed riding his motorcycle. He loved Thanksgiving, his friends and family, especially his grandkids. He loved traveling, antique cars four wheeling and BBQ events with his boys and fixing what others couldn’t.

John never missed an opportunity to experience life.

He was the beloved husband of Mary (Lewin) Tucker for 45 years. He is also survived by his children: Joseph Tucker and his wife, Tamara of Glocester, Holley Lombardi and her husband, Steven of Glocester, Janel Choquet and her husband, Joel of Plainfield, CT, Michael Tucker and his wife, Abbie of Foster, Jesse Tucker and his wife, Lindsey of Hope, and his eight grandchildren: Morgan, Hunter, Joshua, Amelia, Keira, Colt, Wyatt and Baby Tucker on the way.

His funeral will be held Tuesday, May 6th, 2025 at 11am in the Anderson-Winfield Funeral Home, Rt 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville. Burial will be in Acote’s Hill Cemetery, Chepachet. Visitation will be Monday, May 5th from 4-7pm.
