Dorothy “Dolly” (Parrella) Morris, a longtime Somerville resident, died Tuesday at the Glen Ridge Nursing Home. She was 83.
Raised in Waltham, Dolly was the daughter of the late Joseph and the late Marie (Fantasia) Parrella. A Somerville resident for over 40 years, Dolly worked at the former B.F. Goodrich in Watertown for 25 years before working for Blue Cross/ Blue Shield as a claims assistant. Known for her strong work ethic, Dolly loved spending time with her family and friends.
She was a loving mother to Annmarie Carrabino and her husband William of Medford, Patricia Erben and her husband Brian of Warwick, RI. She was a devoted grandmother to Courtney Carrabino, Jennifer Erben and Allison Erben. She was the sister of Anne M. Travers of Stoneham and the late Joseph and Alfred Parrella. She is also survived by many dear nieces, nephews and loving friends at the Glen Ridge Nursing Home.
Her funeral will be from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, Friday at 9:30 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Francis Of Assisi Church, Fellsway West, Medford, at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend and may visit with the family Friday morning from 8:30 - 9:30. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
