The Evacuee Irene
Irene Grace (Bowman) Williams was born in London, England on August 14, 1931. Irene passed on April 27, 2025, in Ventura, CA at the age of 93.
At the age of 9, Irene had to leave her mother and Father in London to live in the countryside of Cornwall, England due to World War II bombing in London. It was there where she lived for 4 years with a lovely family and met her husband, Thomas A. Williams. Irene told Tom she was going to marry him when she grew up. Tom told her to come back when she was 20. Irene did, and they married in 1959. They moved to the US with their 5-year-old daughter, Linda. Five years later, their daughter Debbie was born. They lived and traveled in different States until they found Ventura. Irene Is survived by her daughter Debbie Yanez who married Burt Yanez, grandchildren Cameron Yanez, Melissa Yanez, Great-grandchildren Phoebe and Victoria. Irene loved life. Irene was a loving, kind lady and will be missed.
