Mary Gertrude Falzone
August 10, 1937 – April 22, 2025
Mary Gertrude Falzone of Malden, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully on April 22,2025, surrounded by the love of her family. She was 87 years old.
Mary's life was a beautiful testament to resilience, compassion, and unwavering devotion to family. She found profound purpose and pride in raising her five beloved children: Lee-Ellen Stansfield, Anthony Falzone, Marlena Gilbert, Philip Falzone, and Frank Falzone. She was also a proud and loving grandmother to Caitlyn Falzone, Nicholas Stansfield, Jacob Gilbert, and Mia Falzone.
Mary is also survived by her cherished daughters-in-law and son-in-law: Larissa Falzone, Janice Falzone and Arthur Stansfield.
Mary’s professional journey was as rich and varied as her life at home. She began her career as a Key Punch Manager at International Business Machines (IBM), later thriving as a Sales Representative at Dynamark Security and working with cookie consignments at several Newbury Street shops. Her deep compassion for others led her to serve as a home health aide for her mother during her battle with Alzheimer's disease, and to work tirelessly as a landlord, always providing opportunities and care for the underprivileged. Her advocacy extended beyond her own family as she became a lobbyist helping to establish the first Alzheimer’s Disease Day Care Center — a cause close to her heart.
Those who had the privilege of meeting Mary were forever touched by her rare gift: the ability to make others feel truly seen, heard, and loved. Her warmth and generosity were unparalleled, but her greatest joy and proudest accomplishment was her role as a mother and grandmother.
