Haydee Gomez, 99, formerly of Quincy, Mass., died om April 23, 2022 at Southwood at Norwell Nursing Center.
Haydee was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina to Victor Santamarta and Flora Penilla. She married Charles Gomez in 1949 and they emigrated to the United States in 1954 with their two children, J. Charles and Isabel. A third child, Patricia, was born in Boston, Ma.
She was a wonderful wife, mother and homemaker. Above all, she was known for her talents in the kitchen. All of her friends waited breathlessly for an invitation to dine with her and her family.
She was predeceased by her husband Charles, her grandson Charles Victor, her granddaughter, Cristina, as well as many relatives back in Argentina. She is survived by her son J. Charles, daughters Isabel and Patricia, grandsons Mark and Joseph, granddaughters Alexandra, Victoria and Maria and great-grandchildren, Logan, Brady, Audrey, Hayden, Harrison and Hunter.
A funeral Mass and interment in Yarmouth, Maine will be held later this summer.
