Diane E. Baldini, 84
Dateline: Mansfield, MA
Diane E. (Pomfret) Baldini, age 84, a lifelong resident of Mansfield, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, in the comfort of her home on Monday, April 28, 2025. She was the beloved wife of Francis J. Baldini, to whom she was wed on April 30, 1960.
Born in Attleboro, MA on October 19, 1940, she was a loving daughter of the late George and Margaret (Maday) Pomfret.
Diane grew up in town and was a 1958 graduate of Mansfield High School. An adoring homemaker to her loving family, Diane was an active communicant of Saint Mary’s Church in Mansfield and a dedicated member of the Catholic Women’s Club.
Diane created memories that will last in her family’s hearts forever at their home in West Dennis and previously in Moultonborough, on beautiful Lake Winnipesaukee. Along with her husband, she enjoyed traveling in the United States and abroad. Diane was also a member of the Mansfield Garden Club, an avid bowler and enjoyed boating and snow skiing.
A true daughter of Mansfield, Diane took great pride in the small but meaningful role she and her family played in the community she loved.
The family historian, Diane painstakingly gathered family photos, documents and mementos in dozens of albums and scrapbooks. Over the years they have been a source of entertainment, reminiscence, and information, much of which Diane could recite from memory without even consulting her impressive archives.
She will be sadly missed but fondly remembered by all who were fortunate to have her a part of their lives.
In addition to her beloved husband of sixty-five years, she is survived by her devoted children, Donald F. Baldini and his wife Joanne of South Boston, David A. Baldini and his wife Cheryl of Mansfield, Lauren J. Brading and her husband John of Dennis and Leah M. Bellavance and her husband Ralph of Mansfield. She was the cherished and proud grandmother of Kenya, Dana, Julia, Christian, Jacob, Genevieve, Sarah, Benjamin and the great grandmother of Archer. She was the dear sister of Robert Pomfret of Florida and the late Mahlon Pomfret, Joan Eastman-Ryder and John Pomfret. She is also survived by her much-loved nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend visiting hours on Friday, May 2nd from 5:00-8:00 P.M. at the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home, 55 North Main Street, Mansfield.
