Obituary

In Loving Memory of Christopher “Chris” Buck
August 2, 1988 – April 11, 2025

Christopher “Chris” Buck, 36, of Norton, Massachusetts, passed away unexpectedly on April 11, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of warmth, laughter, and love that touched everyone who knew him.

Born on August 2, 1988, in Taunton, Massachusetts, Chris was a bright light from the very beginning—full of energy, curiosity, and a heart that naturally made space for others. He grew up in Norton, where he graduated from Norton High School, and later pursued his passion for mechanics at the Universal Technical Institute. From an early age, Chris had a gift for understanding how things worked—whether it was a car engine or the deeper emotions behind a friend’s silence. He didn’t just fix machines—he mended hearts, lifted spirits, and made people laugh when they needed it most.

Chris was a true craftsman—skilled with his hands and deeply passionate about working on cars and motorcycles. Whether riding dirt bikes through the trails, wrenching away in the garage or being outdoors Chris found joy in motion, and using his hands to bring broken things back to life. Chris loved teaching his son Caiden to ride a mini bike, fishing and playing with remote control cars.

In addition to his loving parents Lynn Buck and Daniel Buck and his beloved son Caiden Buck and Caiden's mother Rene Murad, he is survived by his brother Marc and his wife Kristin Brouwer and Uncle to Kevin, Ély and Richard Brouwer. His sister Crystal Buck and Uncle to Aidrianna Batista and Elijah Buck. The beloved grandson of Aurore D Black and the late Walter J. Black, Ronald and wife Sherry Buck. Grandparents of the late Gill Williams, and the late Carol Langious. Nephew of Mike and Dawna Kelly and cousin to her daughter Mercedes Vassalotti. Great grandson of the late Richard and Dorothy Owens. Nephew to the late Laurie O’clair, and cousins to Melissa Crowley and Kristine O’clair. nephew to Jennifer Monty and cousins Hannah and Emily Monty, nephew to Jeffrey and his wife Astacia Buck and cousin to their son Grayson. Plus many more cousins and extended family.

To know Chris was to love him—and to be loved by him was to be seen, valued, and accepted. His humor, loyalty, and generous spirit left a mark on every life he touched. He will be remembered not just for how he lived, but who he really was, a kind and deeply passionate person who would lend you his hand at any time if he could.

Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend visiting hours on Saturday, June 28th from 2:00-4:00 P.M. at the Norton Memorial Funeral Home, 19 Clapp Street (Off Route 140, Taunton Avenue) Norton.

A service in celebration of his life will be held at the conclusion of visitation on Saturday, June 28th at 4:00 P.M. at the Norton Memorial Funeral Home. Burial will take privately at a later date at the Timothy Plain Cemetery in Norton.
