Obituary

Alice W. (Furtado) Hose, 83, of New Bedford died August 16, 2006 at New Bedford Health Care Center after a brief illness.
She was the wife of the late Harry M. Hose.
Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late Antone and Ida (Desmaris) Furtado, she lived in New Bedford most of her life.
She was a communicant of St. Julie Billiart Church in Dartmouth.
Mrs. Hose was formerly employed as a waitress in local restaurants. She had also worked at Morse Twist Drill and several local textile mills.
She was a member of the International Ladies Garment Workers Union.
Survivors include her daughter, Kathrine Hose of New Bedford; her son, Robert Hose of Hyannis; six grandchildren, Jennifer, Kersten, David, Shaun, Kelcie and Amos; three great-grandchildren, Dominic, Darian and T.J.; and several cousins, nieces and nephews.

She was the sister of the late Dorothy Raphael.

Her Memorial Mass will be held on Monday, August 21st at 10 AM in St. Julie Billiart Church, Dartmouth. Visiting hours Sunday, August 20th from 4-7 PM in the Saunders-Dwyer Home For Funerals, 495 Park St. New Bedford.
