Lucile Daniel Griffin, 102, of Ocilla, Georgia, died Monday, April 14, 2025, at Palemon Gaskins Memorial Nursing Home, in Ocilla, Georgia.
Graveside services will be held 2 PM, Wednesday, April 16, 2025, at Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery, in Irwin County, Georgia. The family will greet friends following the services at the graveside.
Mrs. Griffin was born December 16, 1922, in Baxley, Georgia, to the late John & Sarah “Sadie” Ellen Mobley Daniel. She graduated from Irwin County High School in 1942 and was a seamstress. During World War II, she worked for Sears and Roebuck. She also worked with her husband at City Market. Mrs. Griffin was a member of the Ocilla Baptist Church.
She is survived by her daughter, Anita Griffin Lee of Fitzgerald; a son, Bobby Ralph Griffin of Green Lakes, Florida; grandchildren: Christopher David Lee & Leah, Richard Todd Lee & Natalie and Jennifer Lynn Griffin; great-grandchildren: Griffin Redick Lee, Davi Leighton Lee, Levi Henry Lee, Audrey Bell Lee, John Christopher “Jack” Lee and Henry David Lee. Several nieces and nephews also survive. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Griffin; one brother, Vernon Daniel and five sisters: Lillie Morris, Versie Miller, Myrtle Lee Warnock, Gladys Hunter and Leslie Daniel.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the charity of the donor’s choice.
